John Denver, a singer-songwriter who hails from Colorado that specialized in folk pop music has touched the hearts of millions. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. was raised in Roswell new Mexico, but was enthralled by Colorado. The singer-songwriter eventually moved to Aspen. Many people took the road to Colorado after hearing Denver's popular anthems to his adopted state. G. Brown of Colorado Music Hall of Fame, the curator of this hall of fame, stated: "I don't believe there anyone else who has as much a connection to Colorado as John Denver." Denver was a member of the Hall of Fame as its the first member in 2011. He is now the symbol of Colorado for all people. On my trips I've encountered individuals who are from New Zealand or the other side. When you tell that you're from Colorado The first thing they say are Oh John Denver. Brown stated. Take Me Home Country Roads, co-written by Bill Danoff and Denver after his brief career with folk bands and was his debut Top 10 solo hit. Danoff had written the song inspired by Johnny Cash, but Denver was able to hear an early version and knew it was going to be an instant hit in the top 10. After performing the song at Washington D.C. to a huge crowd, the singer recorded it just days later.
